For this week assignement I decided to continue sewing (that was my Something that your "other" does DSD from last week, you can see it in here and donate the things I've done so far and will continue doing to my neighbour Church for their Christmas market, one of the activities made by them to raise funds to help people in need.
Giving my time and some goods for a good cause is a nice way of thinking about the "to give" DSD. It would be easier just to buy some things and donate but the act of giving some of my time and make things by hand gives a human dimension to it that, for me, makes more sense in this context.
Last week I made a bottle bag and a pencil holder coat.
This week I made a bread basket and a soft bucket for vases.
The plan is to make at least one product per week until the end of November. That will be chalenging but it will be really worthy.
Hope you'll enjoy it and be inspire to "give".
ps : The two patterns in the left side were handmade by me.
The Church's name is "Igreja do Passarinhos", it means Bird's Church because there are some birds singing during the ceremonies.
