Didn't do the assignement this week but I want to keep going with the course so I think the experience below fits very well the chalenge and it can inspire travelers to watch for other things than just the turistic spots and learn from them something that you cannot find in any guide.
This was something that happen in my travel to Japan. It was my first time there and everything was very chalenging.
In my first day I came accros a very curious street vendor. That was the first time I saw someone carryng his shop on his shoulders and I was so curious about that that I had to ask him about it. I asked some help to someone to translate my questions and his answers.
Is there a lot of shops like yours in Tokyo?
There are some but mine is the oldest one.
What do you sell?
Pastry
Where are the pastry stocked?
In the drawers.
Is it easy to carry your shop around?
Yes, try and you will see.
You can see a picture of me trying and believe me it is very, very heavy!
Do you stay in the same area all the time?
No, I go around all day long. You are lucky to see me here today.
Last question was he wanting to know from where I was. ;o)
